Live updates and highlights from the 2023 race at Talladega | NASCAR Starting Lineup

6:25 p.m.: Gibbs is leading the second line and putting on a clinic. kept everything in the centre lane quite stable. Wallace and Hamlin, two Toyota loyalists, are supporting him. This should result in an exciting last 10 laps.

6:23 p.m.: Currently still two wide. But assume someone tries to complete the feat in the final 10 laps. Maybe Logano? He is just 0.01 seconds behind the leader in P20.

6:21 p.m. Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s side draft causes him to move the middle line well back. Wallace and Gibbs are ranked P9 and P12, respectively. There is still a lot of racing left, but it’s doubtful that they will be allowed to resume it without being warned.

6:18 p.m.: The Big One’s constant cost is approaching the ‘Dega. On the middle line, Gibbs and Wallace are incredibly sloppy. It is possible that the partnership will be the source of any events. Blaney and Almirola are still shoving their way to the front.

Wallace is given a strong push on the restart by Hamlin at 6:00 p.m. They are two wide, with Wallace having only a little edge over Blaney, his dear friend.

5:49 PM: WARNING! Burton receives one too many bumps from Gragson. Burton miraculously managed to save his automobile by dumping it onto the infield. Austin Dillon’s luck was less favourable; it appears that the No. 3 whip damaged his toe link.

5:44 p.m.: The No. 21 car is leading and performing admirably. The longer this thing goes on, the more probable it appears that Burton will win his first Cup Series game and further the family heritage.

5:38 p.m.: At Talladega, Harrison Burton and Noah Gragson are the young drivers taking the lead and gaining vital experience.

At 5:36 p.m., Talladega is back to green. Can Wallace win at the ‘Dega for a second time? Time to investigate.

For those who are curious, Logano continues to drive in front of Briscoe, earning himself the free pass. at 5:28 p.m. The driver of the No. 22 made a wise decision.

Stage’s last lap begins at 5:23. Wallace and Elliott will compete for it. It appears that Elliott is making the late play to grab the second stage, but Aric Almirola really does. He won that stage for the first time since 2020. What a racing event that was!

Briscoe and Bubba are battling for first place at 5:19. The stage still has five laps to go. After Logano decides to keep his line in the center of the track, Wallace makes a risky move to the top of the track. Logano made a reasonable play, but Wallace was put in a difficult position. That will nevertheless maintain Elliott in the lead.

At 5:01 p.m., Truex is still in the lead. The likes of Hamlin and Harvick, meanwhile, are undoubtedly pushing themselves forward. It appears like Hamlin wants to stick with Truex for as long as possible; this is an example of Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota working together.

Truex and Hamlin are seated comfortably at the top of the food chain at 4:47 p.m. Wallace, who is now in eighth place, is trying to catch up to his Toyota running mates.

4:40 PM: As anticipated, Chastain made a strong assault. He is one of the Cup Series circuit’s most aggressive drivers.

Hamlin is in the lead when Stage 2 begins at 4:38 p.m. He and Harvick are in charge of the pack!

Elliott wins his first stage of the year at 4:24 p.m.

4:10 PM: A startling face emerges in the front: Chase Elliott, who hadn’t raced in six weeks because of an injury, only made his comeback last week. He spent the majority of the first 40 or so circuits behind the pack.

Reddick receives the free pass at 4:06 p.m., putting him back in the front row. Given that Reddick spun out without issuing the caution, I assume the No. 45 crew will be pleased with that. Back in the mix are Toyotas.

Wallace has performed admirably through 21 laps at 3:45. Already has twice as many laps in the lead as he did for the whole season. Despite not having much luck this year, he has won here before and has previously demonstrated genuine promise on superspeedways. When all is said and done, we could have a chance to once again find ourselves in victory lane.

As we enter Lap No. 10, Bubba Wallace and Chase Briscoe are fighting for the top spot. Wallace is just ahead by a thin margin. Nice to see Michael Jordan within the structure.

Pre-race prayer will begin at 3:00. At Talladega, we have roughly 20 minutes till the green flag.

Kevin Harvick makes his 800th Cup Series start at 2:35 p.m. What a career for Happy, who will undoubtedly join Larson and Hamlin on the list of the top 75 NASCAR drivers.

2:25 PM: Following his terrifying crash in yesterday’s Xfinity Series race, Blaine Perkins has received good news on his condition.
