Anne Hathaway headlines the unexpected romance at the core of the Prime Video film The Idea of You in the trailer, which was released on Wednesday. The film features Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine as a 40-year-old single mom and a 24-year-old boy band member each, who are caught in a thrilling forbidden love affair.
The film, which is based on the novel of the same title from Robinne Lee, tells the tale of a 40-year old single mother (Hathaway) who falls in love with an international pop star of the age of 24, who is played by Nicholas Galitzine.
In the trailer Hathaway’s Solene has her daughter, aged 16, to Coachella following her ex-husband’s divorce. He has decided to not be the chaperone for the trip. While at the Coachella festival, Solene runs into and starts a romantic relationship to Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the singer-songwriter from August Moon, the hottest boy group on earth.

The producers of The Idea of You have revealed the romantic film’s first trailer with Anne Hathaway’s character starting an enthralling affair with an aspiring Harry Styles star of 20 years old and the first single from the band’s fictional teenage pop stars, August Moon.
In the new clip, which was released on the following day (March 6), Hathaway, who portrays a single mom of 40 years known as Solene is spotted by chance running into 24 year old Hayes Campbell backstage at Coachella. Campbell is who is played by Nicholas Galitzine, is a beautiful, smooth-talking brunette with tattoos who coincides to be artist from August Moon, which is just one of the “hottest boy band on the planet,” according to the movie’s description.
Alongside The trailer The Idea of You unveils “Dance Before We Walk,” one of the songs sung by August Moon in the flick. The dance track is upbeat and appears to have been taken straight from 2014 pop radio. It even could be a reference to the band’s real-life influences for the track’s lyrics “I think I need a new direction lately,” sings one of the band’s fictional members.
The movie’s trailer The Idea of You enters its own tune into the dictionary of dance-pop boy songs by bands. The first single from the soundtrack of the film, “Dance Before We Walk,” is the soundtrack to Solene and Hayes the love story of Hayes and Solene. Another song, “Closer,” appears earlier in the video in the August Moon’s Coachella setlist.
The Idea of You was directed by Michael Showalter. Ella Rubin, Reid Scott and Annie Mumolo, also star in the film that will be released on the 2nd of May through Prime Video.
