The domain breakingnewslive24.com was originally a news site. In 2026 it was relaunched as a focused time, date and countdown tools site under the BNL24 name.

How we get our dates

• Fixed-date holidays (Christmas, Halloween, July 4): calculated from the calendar.
• Rule-based holidays (Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Mother's and Father's Day): calculated from the rules set in US law or custom, such as "the fourth Thursday of November".
• Easter: calculated with the standard Gregorian computus used by Western churches.
• Solstices: the exact moments published by astronomical authorities such as the US Naval Observatory.
• Lunar and lunisolar festivals (Diwali, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year, Ramadan): checked against published religious calendars. Where a date depends on moon sighting (Ramadan, Eid), we say so clearly.
• Events (such as the Super Bowl): taken from official announcements, and updated if they change.
• Time zones and daylight saving time: the IANA Time Zone Database, the same data used by phones, computers and web browsers.
• US federal holidays: the rules published by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), including observed dates.

How we check our work

• Dates and calculations are produced by code and tested automatically against known answers, such as leap years, month ends and daylight saving changes, before every update.
• Facts in our articles are checked against the official or primary sources listed at the bottom of each page.
• Pages are reviewed at least monthly and after every major holiday, so titles and dates always point to the next occurrence.
• We may use software, including AI tools, to help draft and check content. Every fact still has to match a listed source before it goes live. Read our editorial policy.

Every page shows a "last reviewed" date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us. We fix errors quickly.
