People use BNL24 to plan real things: trips, deadlines, calls across time zones and holidays with family. Accuracy is the whole point, so this is how we work.

1. Answer first

Every page starts with a direct answer, then the details: tables, rules, examples and sources. No padding, no clickbait.

2. Source hierarchy

  1. Official sources: government bodies (OPM, NIST, USNO, NOAA, National Archives, Department of Labor), standards bodies (ISO, IANA) and event organizers (for example the NFL).
  2. Authoritative references: established religious calendars (for example Hebcal, published panchangs) and reputable encyclopedias.
  3. Calculation: where a date follows a rule (such as "fourth Thursday of November" or the Easter computus), we compute it with code and test it.

Each page lists the sources used for its facts.

3. Testing and review

  • Calculators are tested against known answers, including leap years, month ends, weekends, holidays and daylight saving changes.
  • Pages are reviewed at least monthly and after each major holiday so that the dates and years point to the next occurrence.
  • Where information can change (moon-sighting dates, event schedules, DST laws), we say so on the page.

4. Use of AI and software

We use software, including AI tools, to help draft text, write code and check for errors. AI output is never published as fact on its own. Every date, rule and figure must match the sources listed on the page or our tested calculations.

5. Independence

BNL24 is funded by advertising (Google AdSense). Advertisers have no say in our content, and we don't accept payment to change dates, answers or rankings.
